Situated next to Ringmer Community College on Lewes Road the site offers free on-site parking with access to local transport services. The pool has a full programme of sessions including lane swimming, water aerobics classes, swimming lessons and is an ideal venue for children's pool parties.

A two hour session that includes the first hour in the pool and then training for running, cycling, fitness skills and transition tips. This training will take place outside, however the gym will be used when the weather is poor.
Train to become a lifeguard with the nationally recognised RLSS National Lifeguard Qualification

In order to attend the National Pool Lifeguard Qualification the candidate must meet all of the criteria set out below.
Be 16yrs+
Be able to meet the following basic fitness criteria

jump / dive into deep water |

swim 50 metres in less than 60 seconds |
|
|
swim 100 metres continuously on front and back in deep water, tread water for 30 seconds |
|
|
tread water for 30 seconds |
|
|
surface dive to the floor of the pool |
|
|
climb out unaided without ladder / steps and where the pool design permits |

Additional information:
On the day of the assessment candidates will need to bring a friend to act as a casualty. The casualty must be able to swim in deep water.
If a candidate is to fail any part of the National Pool Lifeguard course they will have to pay a fee to be re-assessed. (Most of our tutors will not put forward anyone to do an assessment if they believe they cannot pass.)
This course requires 100% attendance.
When in the water you will be required to wear shorts and a t-shirt.
At Ringmer swimming pool there are no catering facilities, so it is advisable to bring a packed lunch. However there are vending machines for drinks and snacks.
Ideal for beginners, those returning to exercise and also for those that want something that little bit different. Thw water's resistance offers a great workout and is supportive of the joints.
You don't need to be a swimmer to participate but you do need to be over 14 years old.
Classes are run every Thursday 7.00-8.00pm
