 Completing the Form

Selection for interview will be based solely on the information contained in your application form. The Recruitment Monitoring Form is seen by the HR Department only and removed before the selection process.

Please complete the application form in black so that it can be photocopied. Do not submit a CV instead of the application form, although you may supplement the form with additional information if you wish. Internal candidates must complete the form fully.

The closing date for applications is on the enclosed information, we will not consider applications received after that time.

Job Description and Person Specification

The Person Specification may be new to you. It allows us to recruit the best person for the job as it sets out the essential and desirable criteria that an applicant needs in order to be successful in the job.

You should read it carefully, together with the Job Description, and address your application to the criteria mentioned. Your selection for interview will depend on this.

Fill in the application form to show how you match the requirements. Explain how your ability, skills, experience and knowledge match the person specification. Remember to consider all experience, in and out of work, which may be relevant.

It is not sufficient to say you match the criteria – you must provide examples where you can. If you do not address the criteria, we are unable to see how you might carry out the duties of the post, and so you are unlikely to be successful.

Complaints

Please write to the HR & Training Manager outlining the nature of your complaint if you believe any unfair discrimination took place at any stage during the recruitment process.

We will investigate the matter and this will in no way prejudice your right to take the matter to an employment tribunal.
