Wave Leisure Trust is a charitable organisation that provides leisure facilities across the Lewes District. The following vacancy will provide an interesting and rewarding opportunity to volunteer within the leisure industry. Full training will be provided.

Gym Buddies

Gym Buddies will play a crucial role in providing additional support and encouragement to disabled users who exercise within the fitness suite.

Some of the tasks you will undertake:

• To receive and complete the Gym Buddy training and gym induction
• To accompany/workout alongside disabled users within the gym and provide additional support eg adjusting weight stacks/start positions and programming consoles etc
• To provide additional support within the facility during sessions or as and when agreed with the disabled person
• To motivate, encourage, mentor and befriend a disabled person and support them in achieving their fitness goals
