Senior Activities

Wave designs, develops and provides activities which are tailored to meet the needs of the older population of the Lewes District area. Wave’s Older People’s activities are inclusive of our outreach work and provide opportunities for increased participation and wellbeing.

Our activity calendar includes weekly timetabled sessions which are specifically designed to help support participation of those over 65 years of age.

Senior’s Only Gym Sessions

For all abilities, a gentle class designed to get you confident using the gym. 

Senior’s Tai Chi 

This class strengthens and improves your core and stability, relieves stress, tension, aches and pains.

60+ Swim Time

A dedicated session for those over 60 to enjoy a relaxing swim.

Senior's Exercise Class

A fun friendly class focusing on functional fitness routines.

Senior's Badminton 

Enjoy a senior's only session of this popular racquet sport.

Looking to increase your confidence or meet new people?

We have a range of specialist sessions at various levels of intensity and range from gentle exercise to improve day to day mobility, such as Chair-Based Exercise and Strength and Balance classes, to social team walking sports.

These sessions are open to everyone who may benefit from them and we welcome people of all fitness abilities.
