Why has the timetable changed?
The timetable has been changed to allow for strict user numbers within the swimming activities. We have had to change to a more programmed approach to swimming, and to allow for a strict cleaning regime to take place. This is crucial to ensuing we are providing a COVID-19 secure environment in which to exercise. See our swim session timetables.
Why are most classes/sessions now only 45 mins?
We have reduced swimming times to ensure we have enough time between each session to carry out thorough cleaning procedures. It also means we can offer a more diverse timetable and give more customers the opportunity to enjoy a swim.
What equipment will be provided?
Equipment will not be available for any session except swimming lessons; however, the use of equipment will be kept to an absolute minimum. You can bring your own equipment, and equipment can be purchased from reception.
Do I need to book, even if I’m a pay as you go swimmer?
Yes, you will not be able to enter the centre unless you have booked ahead, even if you are a pay as you go customer. You can book online, via the Wave App or over the phone to secure your place. Normal cancellations procedures apply. Find out how to set up your online booking account.
If I am a member, will I get 14 days book ahead rights on all sessions?
No. For Family Bubble and Flume Bubble Swims, everybody (members and non-members) will get 5 days book ahead rights, as these sessions are not included in any memberships.
Members will get 14 days book ahead rights on other sessions.
How old do I need to be to come to a #thisgirlcan session?
Our #thisgirlcan sessions are open to those 14+
I’m under 18 but I want to use online booking. Can I do this?
Yes, those 14+ can access an online booking account by having their parent/carer fill out an Under 18 Parental Consent form. For more details on how to do this, please contact email@example.com, stating which centre you would use most often.

How many people can I have in my Family Bubble/Flume Bubble Swim?
You can have up to 2 adults and 4 children in your bubble swim sessions. The participants in your bubble swim must come from one single household.
How much are Family Bubble and Flume Bubble sessions?
Our prices are £18.50 for Family Bubble Swim and £24.00 for Flume Bubble Swim. This is for exclusive use of a section of the pool for your session. For Family Flume Swims, your family bubble get exclusive use of the Flume and the splash pool for that session.
Why is a Family Bubble Swim or Flume Bubble Swim the same price regardless of family size?
With our Family Bubble/Flume Bubble Swims, the price covers that area of the swimming pool, rather than the payment being on a per person basis. Your family will get exclusive use of this space for your session.
Can I select which are of the pool I would like in a Family Bubble Swim?
Yes, when booking you can choose a shallow, middle or deep section of the pool. Areas will be clearly marked out when you arrive for your session.
If I require a ladder to get in and out of the pool, should I avoid certain areas when booking a Family Bubble Swim?
If you require ladder access, please book one of the corner pool areas (shallow or deep) as these are guaranteed to have ladder access. You can call the team at your local pool or email firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like more information on this.
For Flume Bubble sessions, will always there be a lifeguard present on the flume to ensure safe use?
Yes, we’ll have a lifeguard stationed at the flume for the entirety of your session.
Does there have to be an adult in the Family Bubble Swim group, or can older kids go in on their own?
For Family Bubble Swims, children who are 14+ may enjoy the session without an adult in. If there is no adult in the group, all children in the bubble must be 14+.
Does there have to be an adult in the Flume Bubble Swim, or can older kids go in on their own?
Yes, you must have an adult as part of the swimming group when enjoying a Flume Bubble Swim.
Can we swim for the whole session and then get out to change?
Swimmers can enjoy the whole session and then get out to change. To allow our teams to carry out their cleaning schedule before the next session begins, you’ll only have a short time after your session finishes to quickly get changed and exit.
I take longer to get myself/my family changed. What do I do?
If you know you will take longer to change, we advise leaving your session a little early to allow yourself enough time.
Will staff indicate when we are getting near the end of our session so we can change with enough time?
Our team will let you know when you are nearing the end of your session and you need to head to the changing rooms.
Will you be enforcing that changing rooms are only open for pool users, not class/gym users?
Changing room access is only for pool users. Our teams will be monitoring this.
Will there be extra toilet access during family sessions?
Toilets will remain for emergency use only. Please ensure you and your children use the toilet before you leave home.
How are you managing social distancing in pools?
The maximum numbers for each session have been reduced to allow for plenty of space when swimming. There will be a maximum of 10 swimmers in a double lane for Lane Swimming and a maximum of five swimmers in a single lane for Fitness Swimming.
Family Bubble swimmers will have their own section of the pool to play in, which will be 5m x 8m. Swimming lessons will be structured to ensure social distancing is carried out throughout the lesson. We have also issued pool etiquette to help promote social distancing in pools.
How will you manage cleaning in between sessions?
Pool areas will be cleaned during the 15-minute changeover between sessions. Changing rooms will be cleaned while customers are in the pool.
