Pregnancy Yoga CourseMonday 2nd September - Monday 7th October 2024.Consecutive Mondays 14:00 - 15:00 for 6 weeks at Peacehaven Leisure Centre.Our 6 week Pregnancy Yoga Course is aimed at pregnant ladies who want to prepare their bodies for labour.Yoga during pregnancy can provide women with the tools and support to equip them mentally, physically and emotionally through their journey. Yoga postures and movement during pregnancy can help to prepare the body by building a greater understanding of how its changing, and how you are changing as a woman in preparing for motherhood. Embracing not being fearful of movement but actually tuning in and moving to gain confidence, strength, flexibility, easing aches and pains, and embracing where you and your baby are. During this 6 week course, you will learn how to connect to and use your breath; to facilitate calmness and work through contractions and anxiety – for you and for baby. This is done through a variety of breathing exercises and methods that both mother and baby can benefit from. To help lift feelings of worry and to embrace being in the present moment with gratitude and love. The classes offer a great support network, to share experiences, build friendships, and learn together during this time. Please wear comfortable clothing and bring a bottle of water. |

6-week course of two sessions per week aimed at helping in the management of joint pain from conditions such as osteoarthritis. The sessions include a circuit type class, where you work at your own level, using exercises designed at strengthening the knee, hip and back. Each session also includes an educational element, during which a different topic is discussed on subjects such as how to exercise safely, healthy diet and how to manage flare ups.

For rehabilitation and beginners, this 8 week course will focus on management and maintenance of the body for older age and after injury.
Your instructor with a Osteopathic background. will combine Hatha Yoga postures and Pranayama breath work for an emphasis on full body balance and mind body connection.

A low-level, strength. cardio and balance class combining the benefits of resistance training with the fundamental movement of walking. It is designed to activate, tone and strengthen your whole body. Using bands that provide 2.3kg of resistance to help improve joint mobility and range of motion.
