Functional Group Training on the Gym Floor, led by our Fitness Instructors

 

Functional Training is delivered on the Gym Floor by our Fitness Team, providing a full fun workout.

Created to develop knowledge, skills and improve fitness in a group environment these sessions will help to develop your abilities within the gym though experienced instruction.

Active Age - Functional Fit 

Aimed at the older adult, and delivered within our Gyms, this class will get you stronger and fitter for everday life!

You will be using functional movements like pushing and pulling that will help build strength and increase your fitness levels. You also get to play with some fun gym equipment too! Smile all round.

Active Age - Functional Fit is available to participate at Downs Leisure Centre in Seaford.

This class is suitable for older adults.

HIFT

Take it to the next level with this functional hit training session on the gym floor. HIFT - High Intensity Functional Training will challenge your heart and lungs, improve speed and coordination with intervals of work and short rest periods. Its only 30 mins long but trust us, its all you''ll need. 

Please bring: appropriate exercise clothes and footwear, mat and water bottle.

HIFT is available at Downs Leisure Centre in Seaford  and Lewes Leisure Centre.

This class is suitable for those aged 16 years and over.

Functional Fit - Gym Floor 

Delivered within our Gyms, Functional Fit uses functional movement patterns that mimic everyday life this class will have you swinging, slamming, pushing & pulling your way to a stronger body whilst increasing your cardio fitness and strength - the bonus is you get to play with some fun equipment too!

Please bring: appropriate exercise clothes & footwear and water bottle.

Functional Fit is available to participate at Downs Leisure Centre in Seaford and Lewes Leisure Centre.

This class is suitable to those aged 16 years and above.

Functional Fit - Juniors 

Get fitter and stronger with this fun inclusive session tailored to our Junior and Junior Plus Members aged 11 to 15 years.

Functional fitness for younger participants, in the gym, incorporates education, games, teamwork and fun fitness. Including all the fundamentals of Functional Fitness with adaptations and gamification for the younger participant. 

Please Note: Maximum weight loads of 5kg lifts apply.

Please bring: appropriate exercise clothes & footwear and a water bottle.

Junior Functional Fit is available to participate in at Downs Leisure Centre in Seaford and Lewes Leisure Centre.

This class is suitable for those aged 11 to 15 years.

Functional Strength - Gym Floor 

Functional strength is style of  of training that focuses on developing strength in patterns that are used in everyday life. This gym floor session will focus on loading the body with variable resistance with minimal impact. Whether its dead-lifting, pushing, pulling or squatting you'll get stronger, leaner and improve technique to ultimately up your lifting game!

Functional Strength is available to participate at Downs Leisure Centre in Seaford.

This class is suitable to those aged 16 years and above.

Learn 2 Lift Workshop - Gym Floor

NEW TO TIMETABLE! Starting in September.

3 participant, small group, barbell workshops.

Learn how to use barbells, focusing on 4 compound moves and basic movements of lifting. Coached by our Fitness Instructor team the focus will be on set up, movement pattern, applying correct load and points to improve performance.

Improve technique, confidence and knowledge, with this instructed workshop, included within membership.

Learn 2 Lift Workshop is available to participate at Downs Leisure Centre in Seaford, Lewes Leisure Cente and Peacehaven Leisure Centre.

This class is suitable to those aged 16 years and above.
